Are we a restaurant, a bar or a distillery?
Good question!
We like to think that we are all three. We don't define ourselves as one or the other.
You'll find a relaxed, fun, funky & casual place with a great atmosphere. Come & enjoy our range of gins including what we make onsite, Instagram worthy cocktails, share plates in the bar, or go all out with our set menu.
Cocktail Lounge & Restaurant
Experience the comfort of our restaurant's tables or the relaxation of a chesterfield lounge in the bar while indulging in our delicious a la carte menu. Our menu is designed to be shared and can be ordered from anywhere at Charlie's, allowing you to spread the love and enjoy your meal in your desired setting.
Raintree Lantern Terrace
Overlooking Raintree Park, our alfresco area has its own individual offerings. With snacks & a dedicated bar, including beers, this is the area to pop up and enjoy the ambiance.
As there is a smoking area, feel free to choose from our dedicated cigar menu.
We do not take reservations for this area except for function bookings. The a la carte menu is available in our outdoor area.
Gin Distillery
Darwin Distilling Co. is located within Charlie's of Darwin. It is not there for decoration but is a working distillery with two stills - a 50L "Little " and a larger 500L still, yet to be named.
We have fractionally distilled our uniquely Territorian botanicals and we hold blending classes so that you can create your own unique blend. $150 per person and it includes a 500mL bottle of your own blend to take home. See the Calendar to see when our next class is. We can also do private class for groups of 10 or more.
In February 2021 we released our Signature Darwin Gin using Kakadu Plum, Water Lilies & Native Lemongrass, all sustainably harvested within a three hour drive of our Darwin distillery. Head to Darwin Distilling Co. to purchase online.
Our dream was to create a modern Australian gin highlighting nature, cultural uniqueness and abundance of the Northern Territory.
